COURTNEY COURTNEY
Born and raised in South East London, singer/songwriter Courtney has been building a buzz on the grassroots scene for a little while now.
Performing from the age of 14, she builds on her years of experience when she delivers her trademark honest, raw, empowering sound where she fuses her London roots with Drum & Bass, R&B, Neo Soul, afro-house and Pop.
Inspired by and tapping into the musical influences of legends such as Amy Winehouse & Lilly Allen, as well as new school artists like Raye, Mahalia & Pip Millet. She is as likely to be listening to them as she is Masego, J Hus and the latest underground Drum & Bass production.
2023 saw Courtney Courtney win the Jools Holland Rising Star Artist of the Year award at the Boisdale Music Awards. Having only released two singles at the time, this set pace for positive reception her next project was to receive.
Debut EP, ‘All Court Up’ was released in spring 2024, with lead drum and bass single ‘Ready 4 Ya’ as well as a feature from grime legend Big Narstie. Post EP Courtney completed a successful radio run with interviews such as Reprezent Radio and Beat 103.6. Exposure continued to grow after a successful EP release party in Central London with over 300 people in attendance. Lead single ‘Ready 4 Ya’ is soon to hit 250,000 streams on Spotify, with her page comfortably sitting at over 15k monthly listeners.
Summer 2024 came with all the garage vibes as Courtney Courtney dropped single “I’m On You”, an innovative blend of classic UK garage beats with an unexpected and refreshing saxophone twist. Soon followed by the release of the K.D Funky House Remix, a true party hit.
Autumn of 2024 took Courtney across the country as she accompanied Big Narstie on his UK Tour. This opportunity allowed Courtney to perfect her performance skills and has proved herself as a true natural on the live stages. This was followed by the release of her must have afro-pop single ‘Weakness(is)’.
This is just the start for Courtney Courtney, 2025 will bring joint EP with iconic Afro-house and UK Funky DJ, Supa D. Not to forget, upcoming single with afrobeat’s star Camidoh and Burna Boy’s producer Telz.
